…while you Control the Process from Anywhere in the World
As an international home owner, it can be stressful to re-design a home in a foreign land.
Navigating bureaucracy, traveling back and forth, managing deliveries from a distance, etc.
I know how in Spain, distribution can be complex and older stylish buildings are frustratingly inefficient in terms of energy and confort.
You want to switch the “soulless luxury” of a cookie-cutter flat or an old gem to a comfortable and authentic space designed using sustainable practices, Feng Shui, Biophilic Design and Neuro-architecture to lower cortisol and boost deep work?
You need a designer who speaks your language, knows the local market AND cares about sustainability, health and productivity?
In our humid climate, cheap synthetic materials can trap moisture and off-gas toxins. Favour natural fibers (linen, cotton, wool) as synthetics are more likely to trap heat and dust—not ideal for the Mediterranean humidity!
Terracotta floorings and limewashed walls will work much better in a Spanish home than carpet flooring and acrylic paint.
Do not buy matching sets from chain furniture stores, but rather look for 1 or 2 vintage pieces from a local handicraft market or second-hand shop.
Combine this with custom-made pieces and beautifully curated art and your home will reflect the beauty of your international personality!
Planning to rent in 3-5 years? Design a custom floor-to-ceiling wardrobe with one "owner’s section" that uses a separate key. This allows you to transition the home to a rental in 24 hours without moving your personal treasures to storage.
After years of world travel, my search for a home in Barcelona led me to a “desperate” hunt through dark, overcompartmented energy-inefficient apartments.
Eventually, I bought a very bright old flat and personally overhauled its thermal and acoustic comfort.
Not only did this create a cosy & comfortable space to work from, but the property’s value jumped 30% in eight years, proving that high-performance living is both a lifestyle and a financial win.
Recently, I started hunting again for a larger place and became frustrated by a market full of “bland and boring” newer and more energy efficient buildings.
Refusing to settle, I studied interior design, neuro-architecture, Feng Shui and Biophilia to bridge the gap between health, aesthetics, comfort and return on investment.
I now offer my services to help expats turn their newly acquired property in Spain into healthy, eco-friendly homes that prioritize health, productivity and energy efficiency without sacrificing bold, personal style.
